The City Council met in called session on the above elate, Mayor J►►y
C. Sloan presiding. The following; councilmen and officials were present:
William R. Eanes, Harry L. Gold, Doyle Lyda, IIubert I1. Brock, Edward Lee
Evans, City !Manager Charles U. Eyeiugton, Assistant City Manager Claud
Eads, City Attorney Joe 13. McMaster. Also present were: James A. Rehler,
George Gregg and 11. IV. Curington with Bryant -Curing Engineers of Austin.

Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that above resolution be
adopted. Votes as follows: Ayes: Gold, Lanes, Brock, Lyda and Evans.
Noes: None.
Chamber ;Motion by Lanes and seconded by Gold that City send Mayor Sloan or
of C. City Manager Eyeington as representatives with East Texas Chamber of
Industrial Commerce on October 22 - 27. Tour will include Los Angeles Cal and other
Tour points. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Water Mr. Curington discussed at length the drilling of a water well
}'11'611 possibly in the San Gabriel park area. Mr. Curington stated that Layne Tex.
Drilling Company and Ur. Guy expected another well would supply tl►e City
with at least fi or 7 million gallons including amount produced by present
wells.
Stater Council discussed the possibility of reactivating the old water well
Well on the Belford Lumber Company property. Mayor suggested that Mr. Rehler,
one of the owners of I3elford property contact the other owners of property
and ascertain if they would be interested in leasing well or selling part
of land to City of Georgetown.
Swi►mning ,Mayor appointed It. S. Elliott, Chairman; Jim, Hector, Doyle Lyda,
Pool Henry Tays, Walter Scudday as preliminary committee to study the feasibility
of building Swimming Pool as to size, location and cost. Cotmnittee to
report to Mayor by October- 1067 if possible.
Bryant Motion by Brock and seconded by Eanes that bill in the amount of
Curington x21,393.75 in favor of Bryant-Curington Engineers of Austin be paid.
Bill Motion carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business, on motion by Brock and seconded by
Gold meeting adjourned. 1._7
