The following Councilmen and officials were present: William R. Evans, Harry L. Gold, Doyle Lyda, Hubert H. Brock, Edward Lee Evans, City Manager Charles D. Eyeington, Assistant City Manager Claud Eads, Electrical Superintendent Claudie Mayo, City Attorney Joe B. McMaster and Chief of Police Frank J. Masur, Jr. Also present were: R. S. Elliott, James A. Rehler, Iiarold Parker, Lester Hudson, 11. W. Curington with Bryant-Curington Engineers of Austin. Compton Motor Company's bid was not accepted due -to the fact their specifications did not comply with specifications ag requested by City. Votes as follows: Ayes: Eanes, Gold, Brock, Lyda, and Evans. Noes: None. Drainage !lotion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that Miller Concrete Contractors Ditch bid of $20,936.00 be accepted as set forth in bids presented at regular Contract meeting April 10, 1967 for Drainage System improvement with .the following exceptions: all easements must be signed by property owners.before start- ing work on project, the city also has option to accept or reject items in item 2 paragraph 2 in specifications. Votes as follows: .Ayes: Eanes, Gold, Brock, Lyda and Evans. Noes: None. Summer Summer recreation was discussed - no action was taken. Recreation City Health • Mayor Jay C. Sloan reappointed Douglas M. Benold, M.D. City Health Officer Officer from May 1, 1967 to April 30, 1968. One Ton Manager Eyeington, Claudie Mayo and Doyle Lyda were instructed to Truck get specifications for One ton truck and present to Council at a later date. _ 1-17 There being no further business, on on by7Lanes� seconded by Brock, meeting adjourned.
