The following Councilmen and officials were present: Edward Lee F.vnns, Doyle Lyda, A. W. Hoyt, Jr., Hubert H. Brock, City Manager Charles D. Noes: None. 466 �- L Bosshard Less Hudson reported on his findings in regard to Bosshard petition Petition concerning 'Arainnge on Eubank Street. No action was taken. Austin Ave. Manager Eveington was instructed to investigate the condition Drainage of storm sewers on Austin Avenue and determine if they are draining properly. Housing Motion by Brock and seconded by Evans authorizing engineering Authority firm to make stndy and to secure street plans and other information needed for Housing Authority. TEXAS: AND DECLARING AN BIFRGI:TTCY. Motion by Evans and seconded by Brock that above ordinance be passed. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Mayor declared Ordinance passed. See Ordinance Book II Page 11 and 12. City Hall Council opened bids submitted by Williamson County Butane Company Air -Con for installing air conditioner in City Office.in amount of $550.00. Doyle Anderson submitted bid in amount of $542.00. Motion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that bid of $550.00 submitted by Williamson County Butane Company be accepted. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 11R9 . AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PARTICIPATION IN TEXAS MUNICIPAL RF.TIREMIFNT SYSTEM, BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOIN, TEXAS. Motion by Brock and seconded.by Hoyt that above ordinance be passed. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Mayor declared ordinance passed. See Ordinance Book II Page No. 15. LICENSING OF ELECTRICIANS AND FOR OTIM PURPOSES, AND REGULATING THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC WIRING AND APPARATUS AND OTHER PURPOSES. Motion by Evans and seconded by Brock that ordinance be passed to lst reading. Ordinance was read. Roll call as follows: Ayes: Brock, Lyda, Evans.and Hoyt. Noes: None. Ordinance passed to 1st reading. See Ordinance Book No. II Page 13 and 14. 469 Library ?Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that free Water Light and Sewer services for Friends of the Library be extended from May 31, 1966 to August 31, 1966. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Council Mayor appointed William R. Eanes as councilman to fill Appoint- vacancy created by resignation of Jay C. Sloan. Motion by meet- Evans and seconded by Hoyt that above appointment be approved. A roll call vote was cast as follows: Ayes: Evans, Hoyt, Brock and Lyda. Noes: None.
