The following councilmen and officials were present: Idward Lee Evans, Doyle Lyda, A. W. Hoyt, Jr., Hubert H. Brobk, City Manager Charles D. Eyeington, City Secretary Claud Eads. Motion by Brock that Edward Lee Evans be elected Mayor Pro. Tem by acclimation. Motion carried by unanimous conscent. CANVASS OF RETURNS: TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: We your comittee appointed to canvass the returns of the Regular City Elec- tion held on April 6, 1966, to elect: (1) Mayor (Full term) and (2) Aldermen for a two year term each, report as follows: That Jay C. Sloan received 89 Votes for Mayor That Doyle Lyda received 93 votes for Alderman. That Edward L. Evans received 91 votes for Alderman Total votes cast 95, S/ Rawleiah S. Elliott S/ Hubert H. Brock,"�� Motion by Brock and seconded by Lyda that Curtis B. Adrian be authorised to pre- pare $325,000.00 City Bonds to be.sold. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Mayor suggested that City Manager secure bids for front end loader and present to council at a later date, also amount paid Loss Suddeth for the use of his back has and if Mr. Suddeth would be interested in putting a front end loader on his machine. Minutes of council meeting held on the 18th and 28th of March 1966 were approved a as presented. Managers reports were approved as presented. Motion by Evans and seconded by Brock that General Fund bills in the amount of $1,810.29 and Utility Fund Bills in the amount of $12,886.88 be paid and approved. Motion carried by unanimous vote. K 13C Motion by Brock and seconded by Hoyt that H.B.C. TV Cable Corporation franchise Iry be extended from December 1968 to June 30, 1966. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
