September 27, 1965
The City Council met on the above date in called session, Mayor R. S.
Elliott presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present: Hu-
bert Brock, Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, A. W. Hoyt, Jr., Jay C. Sloan, Charles
D. Eyeington, City Manager, Claud Eads, City Secretary. Also present was
William S. Lott. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the approval of
sale of Parking Lot West of First National Bank, and discuss Airport contract.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
TO CONVEY CERTAIN DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE LOCATED IN SAID CITY TO FIRST
NATIONAL BANK OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF $6,500.00.
Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that above ordinance be passed.
The following votes were cast: Ayes: Brock, Lyda, Evans, Hoyt and Sloan.
Noes: None. Mayor declared Ordinance passed. See Ordinance Book Page No 1.
The City is to retain all of existing fence that the First National
Bank does not want and any work the city does on the lot will be charged to
Bank at regular price. This property is to be used as a parking lot for the
First National Bank and the general public. No Title Policy or Abstract
will be furnished by the ,City. Bank will pave lot &Rd all the way to the street.
Council discussed the airport contract. Mayor Elliott and City Manager
Eyeington will meet with Jim Janetsky, air port manager in reference to an
agreement at a later date.
There being no further business, on motion by Evans and second by Brock
meeting adjourned.
