HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 06.14.1965 CC-R42 s Georgetown, Texas June 14, 1965 The City Council met on the above date in regular session. Mayor R. S. Elliott presiding. The following Councilmen and of- ficials were present. Doyle Lyda, Jay C. Sloan, Hubert Brock, A. W. Hoyt, Jr., Edward Lee Evans, Joe B. McMaster, City Attorney, C. S. Sanders,gity Tax Collector and Assessor, Frank Masur, Chief of Police. Also present were C. A. Forbes, IrIarvin Henderson, James Lackey, Bond B. Chrietzberg, Jay Wolf, Dr. Bryson with r'dillliamson County Health Unit. Minutes of May 10th, 1965, May 24th, 1965 and June 7th, 1965 were read. Reports for the month of May were read and General Fund Bills presented in the amount of $634.01. Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Lyda reports be accepted and bills paid. I�Totion carried by unanimous vote. T,2otion by :�. W. F'oyt, Jr., and seconded by Hubert Brock that City of Georgetown contribute $560.00 per year to the Williamson Providing other agencies contribute County Health Unit.,, Motion carried by unanimous vote. C. S. Sanders presented amount of Delinquent taxes for the last 15 years period. Potion by Edward Lee Evans to em)loy I.Ir. Cooper to collect delinquent taxes.Motion died for lack of a second. Council decided to h ave.Mr. Cooper come before the Council and talk with them about collecting delinquent taxes. Mayor R. S. Elliott appointed the following for a one year period. ARayor Pro -Tem, Edward Zee Evans Fire Marshall, Lenard McLaughlin City Attorney, Joe B. McMaster City Secretary, Claud Eads Health Officer, Dr. Douglas P,% Denold Joe P;IcCook. Jr. City Auditor was appointed and approved at May 10th meeting. Olin Pettijohn, Tom Moore and William R. Eanes were appointed to Equalization Board. Motion by Lyda and seconded by Hoyt that above appointments be approved. P.Iotion carried by unanimous vote. C. A. Forbes requested on behalf of Humble Oil and Refining Company that the present Ordinance regulating storage of Gasoline and Volatile or Bulk storage plants.be repealed. t,Iotion by Hoyt and seconded by Lyda that present Ordinance regulating Storage of Gasoline and Volatile or 113ulk storage of Gasoline not be repealed .
