The following Aldermen and Officials were present, Kennie Wilcox, Jr., Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, A. W. Hoyt, Jr,,, E. P. Miles, City Manager Lee C. Black, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Fred Knauth, C. S. Sanders City Tax Collector and Assessor, Joe B. McMaster, City Attorney, Kyle Orsman Chief of Police, Lenard McLaughlin Fire Marshall, Jessie Lozano, Fire Chief ,Judith 11-lanley with Sun Publishing Company, John Baker, Manager Georgetown Chamber of Commerce Drew Ballard, with K. G. T. N. Radio Station, W. C. Shell, C. M. Brennan, Division• Manager Southwestern States Telephone Compamy Manager Black read minutes of meeting held October 12, 1964 and called meeting held October 26, 1964. Minutes were approved as read. Manager read reports for the month of October and presented General Fund Bills in the amount of $1,682.02. Motion by Wilcox that reports be accepted and General Fund bills be paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Wilcox and seconded by Miles that Southwestern States Telephone Company be granted a Franchise for 10 years with the provision that Section 9 on page three be hhanged to read according to the Ap- proval of Joe B. McMaster City Attorney and the Southwestern States Telephone Company. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Wilcox and seconded by Evans that Ordinance be read to its first reading and passed on its first zeading. Votes as follows. Ayes - Wilcox, Lyda, Evans, Hoyt, Miles. Noes - None. Mayor Declared Ordinance passed See Ordinance Book Page No.394-395 ZONING ORDINANCE CHANGE MEYERS Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that Ordinance be read to its first reading. Votes as follows - Wilcox, Lyda, Evans, Hoyt, Miles, Noes- None. Ordinance was passed by one reading only. Mayor declared Ordinance passed. See Ordinance Book Page No. 394-395 . Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that City decline selling .438 acres of land a being a part of old dump ground to W. W. Laubach. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Evans and seonded by Lyda that C. S. Sanders be charged with the following Tax Roll for 1964. The following are the totals of the 1964 tax roll. Real Estate Personal Property 1964 $7.4739420 61,322,560 1963 $792439400 $193229400 Motion carried by unanimous vote. K. K. & T. RESOLUTION. See Ordinance Book Page No. 396 Total Value $8,795,980 $895659800 Ta x $57,173.87 $55,677.70 Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Miles that raolution be accepted. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Manager Black discussed the Cofification of City Ordinances. Joe B. McMaster, suggested that he contact cities that had used this service and report his findings to the Council at a later..date.
