The following Aldermen and officials were present, Kennie Wilaox, Jr., Doyle Lyda# Edward Lee Evans, A. W. Hoyt;Jr., E. P. Miles, Lee C. Black, City Manager, Claud Eads', City Secretary, Fred Knauth, Joe B. McMaster, City Attorney, Kyle Orsman Chief'.of :Police, Brew Ballard, with K.G. T. N. A. F. Davis, Judith Manly, reporter for Williamson County Sun, Wm. Giddings, D. D. Sharpe, A. P/ Prude, M. V. Leffler, John Baker, Manager of Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Wesley Johnson, Commissioner of Precinct.No.l, Williamson County T. P. Spurlock, W. C. Shell, R. F. B. Morse President of Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Harold Gattis, Manager of Lone Star Gas Compamy, Ronnie Zehman , and Theo Denham. The following bids for Police car. were opened: Compton Motors Draeger Motor Catpany $1,387.00 $1,544.00 Motion by Wilcox and seconded by Miles that the low bid be accepted Motion carried by unanimous vote. Compton Motors was awarded the bid. 12 young men appeared before Council Mr. Ronnie Lehman spokes— man stated that he thought that the young &fivers were being given traffic tickets unjustly and that the older drivers were not receiving the sa.Te treatment in reference to traffic violations. The Mayor stated that the proper place to present complaints of this nature were to the City Court. The directors of the Chamber of Commerce discussed the parking problem around the square and nearby area. Motion by Evans and se— conded by Wilcox that the following Qiiestioneer be sent to citizens and business men . (1) Enforced parking one hour without meters. (2) Meters one hour parking. (3) Leave as is no change from present parking. Chief Orsman made a survey of the cars parked around the,square and found that there was tom 6to 19 cars that was parked all day.
