The City Council met on the above date in called session for the
purpose of accepting bids for mater & Sewer System Improvement Job No,
63-404 U. U. SP. H.S. Project WCP- Tex -324 . Yayor R. S. Elliott presiding,
The following Aldermen and officials were present. E. P. Miles, Kennie Wilcox,Jr.
Doyle Lyda, A. 4. Hoyt, Jr., rdward Lee Evars, Lee C. Lllack,City Manager,
Claud Eads, City Secretary, Fred Knauth, Joe P. Mcr.aster , City Attorney,
He 14. Curington, Les Hudson, Pdelvin bare with t3ryant & Curington Engineers.
Bids were as follows:
Austin Engineer Co. Water- X80,010.90 Sewer -1274,927.60 -Total -4354,838.50.
Bland Construcion Co. Water- $90,814.80 Sewer-l'206,834.05-Total-�f297•649•85
Ford-;"'ehmeyer Vater- 195,706.00 Sewer -1275,032.20 -Total -$371,336.20
H. 1. Hoffman Co. Water -100,796.00- 10ewer-4225,116.30-Total-4325,912.30
H & M Construction Co. Vdater-113,702.00-:;Sewer-$308,282.00-Total4-421,984.00
Notion by A. Vie Hoyt, Jr, and seconded by Kennie f+ilcox, Jr. that the low
bid of 0297,c48.05 be awarded to Bland Construction Company. Votes as follows-
Ayes.- wilcox, Lyda,Evans, Hoyt, Miles - Noes- None.
RESOLUT ION
WHEREAS, the City of. Georgetown is contemplating oonstruation, of improvements
to Water and Sewer System under U.S.P.H. Project WYC-TEX-324 and Public Law 660;
and .
WHEREAS, it was necessary to take bids on said improvements and the City
award a contract on the lowest and best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVPD that the governing body of the City of Georgetown
hereby awards a contract oft said improvements to Bland Construction Company of
Austin, Texas, subject to the approval of the United States Public Health Service.
PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 8th day of duly, 1964. --

by unamious vote.
