The City Council met on the above date, A+ayor R. S. Elliott,
presiding. The following officials and officers being present,
E. P. Miles, Doyle Lyda, 4ennie Wilcox, "r, A. W. Hoyt, Jr. Edward `'ee
Evans, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Fred Knauth,
Phil Oakley, with K. G. `1. A.. Radio, Ray Henderson, bars. Otis Person with
The Austin American.
Minutes of meetings held May 11, and June lst, were read and approved.
Reports were read for the month of May and General Fund bills in this
amount of $561.42, presented for approval . Motion by Miles and seconded
by Wiloox that reports be accepted and bills be paid. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Ray Henderson owner of nenderson(a Trailer Courts talked with the
Council at length about electric rates for the trailers@
mayor stated that Council would take matter under consideration at
a later date.
ORDINANCE OF ThT CITY OF GEORGFTO,-".r, TRIS,
LEVYING ADVALOREM TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1964, AND
DIRECTING THE COLLECTION ACID DISTRIBUTION OF
SAID TAXES AND DECLARING AN 111ERGENCY.
See Ordinance Book Page 366 .
Motion by Lyda, and seconded by Hoyt that Ordinance be read and
Ordinance has emergency clause and was passed.
Ordinance was read in full.
Votes as follows Ayes- Wilcox, Hoyt, utiles, Evans, Lyda- Noes- None.
Mayor appointed Leroy Berkman, 0. W., Pettijohn and Tom Moore to
serve on equalization board for the ensuing year. Motion by Evans and
seconded byliilcox above appointment be approved. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Motion by Wilcox and seconded by Evans that parking lot now rented
by Georgetown Auto Sales Co. be reduced from 1,50.00 per month to J40.00
per month. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business on motion by Evans and seconded by ?.Tiles
that meeting adjourn.
