Elliott presiding for the purpose of a Public Rearing on the proposed Annexation of certain property adjacent- to the City of Georgetown as set out in an ordinance passed on 9th day of March 1964. The following Aldermen and officials being present, E. P. Miles, Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, A. 4. Hoyt, Jr., Kennie Wilcox, Jr, Lee C. Black, City Manager, Claud Eads, City Secre'.ary, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, Joe B. McMaster, City Attorney, C. S. Sanders, �'ity Tax Collector and Assessor, Fred Knauth, Don Scarbrough, with Williamson County Sun, Drew Ballard, Bill Springer, Stewart Slaton with K.G.T.N., J. W. Garrett, L. 1. Raderp Mayor read Affidavit of petition by three signers. AFFIDAVIT OF THREE SIGVMS OF PETITION. THE STATE OF TEXAS, COLriTY OF WILLIAVZON. BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, on this day personally appeared HAROLD PARKER , RUSSELL PARKER AND BENNIE DRAEGER , well known to me, who being duly sworn, depose and say that they, and each of them are inhabitants of the territory described in the attaohed petition and qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature, that each inhabitant of said territory who is qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature has had notice of and an opportunity to vote his choice in the matter of annexing said territory to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and that a majority of triose qualified to vote has voted in favor of bocoming a part of said City. Mayor read petition signed by following persons requesting City Council to accept their petition for annexation to the City of Georgetown. Attached to the petition was field notes describing that portion to be annexed. L. I. Rader stated that he was in favor of annexation of said proposed land. There was no other comments for or against the proposed annexation. Refer to ANNEXATION OR CITY LI19TS EXTENSION PETITION See Ordinance Book Page 333L-33jt236-4337 Motion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that the petition be accepted and theft portion of land set out in field notes be annexed to the City o#' Georgetown. Votes as follows Ayes-Yuilcox, Lyda, Evans, Hoyt, Miles, Noes- None , ]lotion carried. Lotion by Hoyt and seconded by Evans that City Council run an advertisement in two issues of Williamson County Sun setting forth facts about Bond election to be held on April 7th, 1964.
