The City Council met in reGular session on the above date, b:ayor
R. S. Elliott presiding. The following 41dermen and officials were
present, Kennie i+ilcox, Jr, Doyle Lyda, E. P. Miles, Fdward Lee Evans,
�.. �s. Hoyt, Jr, Lee Co Black, City 11anager, Clf.ud Lt.ds, City Secretary,
Fred Knsuth, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, Lenard McLaughlin, Fire Yarshall,
Drew Ballard with K.G.T. N. Radio, J. P. Kerr , President of Ceorgetown
Railroad, Joe B. McMaster, City r.ttorney.
Manager Black read minutes of regular meeting held, T�ecember 9, 1963.
Manager Black read reports for the month of December and submitted General
Fund Bills in the amount of f423-99 for approval. Yotion by Miles and
seconded by Lyda that reports be accepted and bills paid. I.lotion carried
by unanimous vote.
J. P. Kerr discussed with the council the possibility of the City closing
t:.11ey at 1703 Elm. :Mayor Elliott suggested that City 1:ttorney prepare Re-
solution to this effect and present it at the next regular meeting, of' City
Council.
Mayor Elliott appointed, Edward Lee Evans, Doyle,Lyda, A. v'+. Hoyt, Jr.
to look into matter of closing street in North Town and of :,•lain street at
Mrs. Pete Aleman place.
Resolution State Highway Easement.
&ES^LTTTION.
Whereas; an easement for water line on the property of ''halter R.
Carrington and Forest S. Pearson, to the City of Georgetown, Texas, has
now been abandoned and;
Vvhereas; The State of Texas desires to have said City to furnish the
State a �uitjclaim Deed covering the rights of said City Rs aforesaid.
Therefore, be it resolved that Lee C. Black, City Manager and he is
hereby authorized to siLn said quitclaim deed covering the rights vested
in the City of "o orgetown, TRxas by virture of that deed from rialter R.
Carrin-ton and Et -i,. recorded in Vol, 463, page 339 of Peed Records,
Williamson County, 'Texas.

night January 20, for purpose of meeting with the The 'Texas C-•picator if
the Texas Capicator's could not meet with the Council or would hear Auditor's
Report and 1!anager Black's 13udget presentation.

alderman Evans discussed at length making a survey of the City as to
sewer connections and sewer outlets and Electric requirements also inspect
homes for Fire hazards.
There was also discussion as to possibility of serving new Schools with Sewer
connections. Mayor was instructed to contact Teylor Banks about borrowing
mcney for these purposes.
