Elliott presiding. .,The follnwinp; Aldermaim and officals were presents Kennie Wilcox, Jr., A. W. iioyt, Jr., Doyle Lyda, E. P. Niles, Edward Lee Evans, Lee C. Black, City Llanager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, Leonard YCLa.ughlin, Fire bsarshall, Joe B. a'lel,iastar , City Attorney. Others present were Roy Walker, Perry Tanner, Yr. &Yrs. E. C. Girvin, Drew Ballard with K G Z N , Dr. I. Perry Tanner discussed at length with the Council and presented his case in behalf of purchasing the Sam Henderson home for purposes of operating a. tea room. Dr. Durwood Fleming, President of Southwestern University, presented his objections to the operation of a tea room at this address. Motion by Wilcox and seconded by Miles that Council accept tele Zor:ing Boatrds reconendation that Sam Henderson property remain as R-1 , one family dwelling district.
