The City Council met in regular session on the above dAte, Uayor
R. S. Elliott presiding. The following aldermen And offioials were
present; E. P. Liles, Doyle Lyda, Kennia Wilcox, Jr., A. W. Hoyt, Jr,
Edward Lee Evans, Lee C. Black, City Vanager, Claud Eads, City Secretary,
C. S. Sanders, City Tax Assessor -Collector, Dan DowdA, Chief of Police,
Jesse Lozano, Fire Chief, Rodney Montgomery, Cli 'ford Gustafson, Joe B.
YcEmster, City Attorney, 1.1. K. KcClr in, J. P. Kerr with Georgetown Rail-
road Co. , Yr. Helpner & Mr. Gibson with RAuscher & Pierce Co., & Drew
BAllArd with KGTN Radio, & Tony Proffitt with the Austin-Amerioan.
Manager Black read minutes of regular meeting held on October 14, 1963.
IAPnRrar BlAck read reports for t1te month -of October And submitted General
Fund bills in the amount of $678.72 for „pnrovgl. k-otion by Wilcox and
seconded by LydA that reports be Accepted and bills paid. Motion cArried
by unaminous vote.
Yr. Helpner And Yr. Gibson discusged at length with the Council the
procedure to be followed by the Cour"cil in issuing vrarrants for utility extensions.
Motion by Lvnns And seconded by Liles that the City pay $50,00 per
month to the Georgetown Volunteer Fire DepArtment,:.beginning December 1, 1963,
to he used for Firemen's Pension Fund. Votion carried by una.minous vote.

Ill yor discussed the possibility of purchasing About 30 Korea of land
from Southwestern University, located just North-E-st of the present sewer
fArm. Motion by Hoyt And seconded by Viles the"t 11-yor Elliott be authorized
to negociate with Sotthwestern University for the land, offering 1175.00
per acre. Motion carried by unaminous vote.

Resolution of the City Council, of the City of Georgetown, Texas, authorizing
and directing the City h'anaZer to borrow such sums of money as mAy be necessary to
pAy bills for labor And materials for improvement to the water And sewer system

been heretofore Qnpropriated to some other purpose As same be collected.
Where&%, the City Council authorizes t}a City Van Ager to borrow $50,000.00 with
which to pay for these ii provements, $25,000.00 from the First National Bank of
