Miles, Kennie Wilcox, Jr., Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, A. We Hoyt, Jre Lee C. Black, City Manager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Fred Knauth, C. S. Sanders, City Tax Collector , Lenard McLaughlin, Fire Marshall, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, L. G. Glover, General Superintendent, Herbert Sullivan, Joe McMaster, City Attorney, John Cardwell, Reporter for Williamson County Sun, Owen W. Sherrill and blit 3Aw with Georgetown Development Corporation. Manager Black read munutes of last regular meeting held August 12, 1963, and called meetings held, August 15th, 1963 and August 27th, 1963• Manager Black read reports for the month of August and submitted General Fund Bills in the amount of $997.07 for approval. Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Wilcox that reports be accepted and bills paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Mr. Mit. Lee with Georgetown Development Corporation discussed at length plans for the developing the San Gabriel Estates which represents about 400 acres of land west of Georgetown a part of the H. Me Weir Estate. Council seemed pleased with Mr. Lee's plans and verbally agreed to cooperate in the development Motion by Miles and seconded by Hoyt that plumbing ordinanoe be passed to_it's second reading. Ordinance was read by Caption. Votes as follows, Ayes- Wilcox, Evans, Miles, Lyda, Hoyt- Noes- None. -RE SO LUT IONS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN: That pursuant to and in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 2963; compiled as 970& Vernon's Civil Statutes), the extra territorital jurisdiction 6f the City of Georgetown, Texas, said bity having a population of more than 5000 inhabitants, is as shown and reflected on the Official Map of the City of Georgetown, Williamson,County, Texas, on file with the Clerk of said City. 343 PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9 day of September , 1963. a CITY SECRETARY* ' Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that Resolution be adopted. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Miles and seconded by Lyda that contract for street paving be awarded to Giesen & Latson at 40� !per sq. yard. Mayor called the City Council to order for executive session immediately after adjournment of regular meeting of Council. Alderman Evans entertained motion which was seconded by Alderman Lyda that Mayor negotiate for purchase of Miss Johnnie Wright property by authority granted to him by council in regular meeting held by council on March 11, 1963- Motion carried by unanimous vote.
