Highway 1460 Williamson County: Mr. Lee Black City Manager Georgetown, Texas Dear Mr. Black= In City of Georgetown See Ordinance Book This is to advise that the revision of our speed laws by the recent legislature requires that a restudy be made of all highway routes in the State and that speed zones be established where indicated by the studies. We have completed our studies of the highway routes in the City of Georgetown and are attaching strip maps showing the results of these studies together with our recommended speed zones and zone speeds. We are also attaching four copies of a proposed city ordinance which will establish the legal speed on the highway routes through Georgetown as shown on the stiip maps. It will be appreciated if your City Council will act favorably on this ordinance as soon as possible and return three approved copies to us in order that we may make the necessary adjustments in our speed zoning by August 23, 1963, which is the date the new speed zone laws go into effect.
