The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Yayor
R. S. Elliott pr,isiding. The fcllowirn- officials were present, E. P. Miles
Kennie ,`iilcox, Jr, Doyle Leda, Edward Lee rvans, A. W. Foyt, Jr. , Lee C. Black,
City Hanater, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Fred Knauth, L. (7. Glover, Gen. Superin-
tendent, Pan rolnda, Chief of Police, C. S. Sn.nders, City Tax Issessor & Collector,
Reporters, John Cardwell, llrs. Otis Persons, Drew .Ballard, John I.11en and
G. P,. Tjrennan with the Southwestern States Telephone Co.

Mana6er Black read reports for the Month of June and submitted General
Fund bills in the amount of X2,025.74.
Yotion by A. F. Hoyt, Jr., and seconded by Kennie ".ilcox, Jr., that re-
ports be accepted and bills paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Motion by Kennie +il0QX,;r, and seconded by Be P. Miles that the
Southwestern States Telephone Company be granted the following increase
in rates to become effective as of August 2b, 1963. Votes as follows-
Ayes- Miles, 'vJilcox, Hoyt, Lyda- Foes - Evans.
Yotion by Kennie Wilcox, Jr., and seconded by E. P. Miles that Ordinance
be read in full. Ordinance was read in full. Motion b;, viilcox and sAconded
by Hoyt that Ordinance be passed at one reading. Ayes- D",iles, Wilcox,
Hoyt, Lyda- Noes- Evans. Yayor declared Ordinance passed. See Ordinance Rook

P",otion by Lyda and seconded by Hoyt that merchants be authorized to have
side walk sale and The City h.*anat.er was authorized to grant permission to
merchants for side walk sale on request of ihamber of Commercep -lotion
carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that a
charCe of 50y per foot be charged property owners for paving, for this season
only. !Motion carried by unanimous vote.
The City Planning Commission composed of J. J. Jones, 4)am Brady,and~n. P.
Prude requested that Zoning Ordinance concerning property at 408 Wiest lbth,
street be changed from n-1 One Family Dwelling District to B-1 Local Retail
District. Motion by Liles and seconded by Evans that above request be
granted. Motion carried by unanimous vote. See Ordinance Book Pages 291-294,
There being no further business motion by Evans and seconded by
