The City Council met in re_ular session on the above date, Mayor
F. S. Elliott presiding. The following Aldermen and officials were
present, E. P. Miles, I.. W. lloyt,Jr., T)oyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans,
Lee C. Black, City hanager, Claud lads, City Secretary, Fred Knauth,
Derrell Bradford„ Corporate Court Judge, C. S. Sanders, City Tax Collector
& Assessor, John Cardwell, reporter for Sun Publishing Co. gray liveddell,

Manager Black read minutes of last meeting held T�Iay 13th, 1913-
u:otion by Miles and seconded by Hoyt that be approved as read. Lotion
carried by unanimous vote.
Manager Black read reports for the month of ITy and submitted
General Fund bills in the amount of X769.94.
Lotion by Lyda and seconded by Hoyt reports be accepted and bills
paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Council instructed Manager Black to continue sprinkling area around
ball fields in park area prior to each ball game.
Mayor Elliott appointed Corunittpe of Evans and Hoyt to ccnva.ss the
returns of Bond Election held June 4th, 19b3-

Motion by Evans and seconded by Yiles that Cobb Cavern be denied N
privilege of erecting or hanging banners across streets in the City of
Georgetown.
The following bids were opened on two way Radio Communications
equipment for the City of Georgetown to conform with FCC regulations .

Votion by Hoyt and seconded by Lyda that .low bid be accepted. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Tom YcAferty and C. L. Salyer discussed at length the necessity of the.
City of Georgetown revamping and passing a plumbing ordinance. Mayor
suggested that Manager Black arrange meeting with the plumbers in the City
and all interested in plumbing ordinance and draft a plumbing ordinance
and have ready for its first reading at the next regular meeting of Council
in July. Manager Black stated that there would be a meeting held Thursday
night 20th of June.

Motion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that above Resolution be Dull
and `foid. Motion carried by ungni,mous vote.

notion by Hoyt and seconded by Evans that above Highland Park Resolution be
accepted. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Alderman Evans discussed at length his views why the bond election
failed to pass.
Mayor appointed Alderman Miles , Evans, and Manager Black to check
the actual cost of street paving.
Mayor stated that there would be a called session of Council on the
24th day of June.
Mr. Cliff Welch representing Ruauscher, Pierce & Co.,Inc. proposed to
purchase 50-V paving bonds dtie 12years from issuing date, first 6 years
bonds to yield 2 7/8°> Interest and last 6 years yield 3 1/8f. Motion by
Doyle Lyda and seconded by E. P. Miles that Mr. Welch's bid be accepted.
Votes as follows - Ayes- Miles,Evans, Hoyt, Lyda- Noes- None.
C. S. Sanders stated that delinquent notices were being sent to property
owners owing same. Dir. Sanders stated tha` his collections were over 100°;
for 1962.
Motion by Miles and seconded by Hoyt that City contribute to
Williamson County Health Unit for the fiscal year. Yotion carried by un-

animous vote.
Motion by Evans and seconded. by Miles that Mayor Elliott „ Mangger
Black and Joe B, McMaster, City Attorney work with committees from S. U.
and Georgetown School representatives to formulate Policies and the contract
of the arrangement of hard ball field.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business on motion by Hoyt and seconded by
Lyda meeting adjourn.
