The following Aldermen and officials were present, Edward Lee Evans, E. P. Biles, Rennie Wilcox,Jr. A. We Hoyt, Jr.,Lee C. Black, City Manager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Fred Knauth, L. G. Glover, General Supt., Claudia Mayo, Electrical Engineer, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, W. K. McClain, City Attorney, also present were Don Duvall, Jim Boutwell, James Janetsky Air Fort Manager. Manager Black read minutes of regular meeting held on Jan. 14, and called meeting held on January 24, the minutes were approved as read with exception of Charter Commission be provided funds for Attorney, should read Charter Commission have funds provided for any unusual expense. Manager 13lack read reports for the month of January and submitted General Fund bills in the amount of 11,044.99. Motion by Miles and seconded by Wilcox that reports be accepted and bills paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that Champion Aircraft and Capital Investment be granted privilege of securing Mechanic to do eustom mechanic work and also repair personal planes, also to mend Champion.Aircraft' contract to reflect above change. Motion carried by unanimous vote. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS GRANv"TING TO NATIO"IAL UTILITIES AND CABLE CORPORATION AND ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, A PERMIT TO LOCATE, CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN, AND OPERATE A SYSTEM OF EXHIPITION OF VISUAL AND AUDIBLE' ENTERTAINMENT IN HOMES IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TFJAS AUTHORIZING THE I1SE, RIGHT,PRIVILEGE, POWER, AND AUTHORITY TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN, OPERATE, AND REMOVE IN, 0VER APD ACROSS THE STREETS, AVE TTTS, PARKWAYS AND PUBLIC PLACES THE NECESSARY E4UIPb1ENT FOR THE OPERATION OF S1 -CH SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXASs PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE PROPER INS'�2ANCE AND PERMIT FEES. THIRD READING, Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Miles that Cable T. V. Ordinance be read by caption, third and final reading. Roll call votes as followss Ayes, Miles, Evans, Wilcox, Hoyt, Noes- None. Mayor declared Ordinance Passed. See Ordinance Page No. 258 -259-260-261 . SALARY ORDINANCE See Ordinance Book Page No. 257 . Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that Ordinance be read in full. Roll call votes as follows; Ayes, Evans, Miles, Wilcox, FDyt, Noes- None. SALARY ORDINANCE - SECOND READING. Motion by Wilcox and seconded by Miles L that usual rule for passing be suspended because of the emergency clause and that ordinance be read in caption, Roll call vote as follows= Ayes, Miles, Wilcox, Evans, licyt., Aloes- None. SALARY ORDINANCE THIRD READINGt Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Wilcox that ordin&nce be read by caption to third and final reading. Roll call as followst Ayes, Evans, Miles, Wilcox, Hoyt. Noes- None. Mayor declared ordinance passed. Motion by Evans and seconded by Hoyt that Flirting Ordinance be repealed and that W. K. McClain City, Attorney write a suitable ordinance. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Mayor Elliott read noticeof election to be hold April 2, 1963 for the purpose of electing three Councilmen or Council Women, and announced that Mrs. Reuben Biggs as election Judge. Motion by Miles and seconded by Wilcox that above order for an election and appointment be approved by Council. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Letter from Miss Bessie P. Hughes was read by the Mayor in reference to recreation for Latin American and Negroes be provided by City. Alderman F.vans suggested letter of congratualtion be written to Teno Tofoya on his acceptance to join Peace Core. Council instructdd W. K. McClain to write letter to M. K. & T. R. R. Co. in reference to making Signal light at crossing on 15th, street visible at all times. Liability Insurance for City was discussed by Council. Mayor appointed Alderman Miles and General Supt. L. G. Glover to stddy Hospitalization for employees and discuss same with group. Film was shown by Mr. Mayo about covering garbage by different cities. Motion by Evans and seconded by Miles that Mayor Elliott secure Professional Appraiser to appraise property now known as City Dump. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
