The City Council met in eglled session on the above date, Payor
Elliott presiding, Aldermen, E. P. fi:iles, Kennie tilcox, Jr, Fdward Lee Evans,
Tyle Leda, City Yanager Lee C. B1ack,Claud Eads, Secretary, IT, K. McClain, City
Attorney, C. S. Sanders, City Tax Assessor b: Collector, L. G. Glover, General
Superintendent, Fred Knauth, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police , others present were

Mr. horse requested the Council grant a 25 year franchise to he and
his associates to install T. V. Ct,ble service to the citizens of Geort—town.
Mr. V arse stated that there w ould be a 020.00 installation fee and a r;Lonthly
charrVe of $4.05 per month and 25� Gross payable to the City of Georgetown.
Mayor Elliott stated that this request would be considered at next re-ular
meeting of Council on Oct. 8th. 1962.
Stanley Bliss, architect explained in detail sketches of the new
office building, Police, and Fire Station buildings.
Mayor tliott read letter from J. G. Barnes, Superintendent of
Geort,Ptown Kith School expressing hisappreciation' for, the manner the City co-
operated in paving the parkinG area near the high School.
. K. McClain, City Attorney read letter from Mr. Bluestein District
Highway EnGi.neer in reference to installing ;traffic siGnals at Rail Road crossing
Y.K. A- T, on Highway 81, Yr. Bluestein stated that the Nighwsy Department
would make another check to determine if the traffic warranted a traffic signal
at this point.
Tads for the purch...se of a Cctrbage truck to replace the present
Garba.€;e truck, less 1950 Studebaker truck.

and truck be
purchased

Notion
carried by unanimous vote.
Subdivision Ordinance was studied and discussed by members
of Council. No action was taken.
There beinC no further business on lotion by E. P. Biles and
seconded by Kennie 4ilcox, Jr, that meeting adjourn.
