The following ,aldermen and officials were present, Kennie Wilcox, Jr. A. W. Hoyt, Jr. Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, E. P. �:"iles, Lee C. Black, City Manager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Fred Kneuth, '44. K. McClain, City Attorney, Dan flowda, Chief of Police, Lenard McLaughlin, Fire Marshall, (3. S. Sanders, City Tax Collector & Assessor L. G. Glover, General 4uper•intendent. Also present was �oallace Giddings and Miss b".artha Bowmer. MRyor Elliott set September 24, as time for called meeting of Council for purpose of discussing the Subdivision Ordinances and also in- structed Manager Black to secure plans for construction of new office & Fire Station building. Manager Black wes instructed by Council to secure full time Dog Catcher and have notice printed in paper about picking up stray dogs and destroying them. ? otion by Edward Lee ",vans and seconded by E. F. Niles that W. K. McClain, City Attorney write ":Ir. Bleustein and Katy Railroad to install Signal Light at R. R. Crossing on highway 81 on Austin Avenue. Carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Edward Lee Evans and seconded by Kennie Wilcox, Jr. that Manager Black have lots mowed, at H. M. Glass home, Dor 14'. Drown, at 8th & College also �;efeway Lots,on Austin Avenue.
