The City Council met in called session on the above date, Mayor Elliott
presiding, Alderman, Be P. Miles, Kennie Wilcox, Jr., A. Vie Hoyt, Jr, Edward
Lee firans, Doyle Lyda, City Manager., Lee C. Black, Assistant City Manager
Charles Norwood, Claud Eads City Secretary, Vie K. McClain, City Attorney,
C. Be Sanders, City Tax Collector, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, Also present
were Frank Farris, James Manning, W. L. Fletcher, Leroy Berkman, A. P. Prude,
Grady Watkins, Darrell Bradford.
Motion by A. VV. Hout, Jr., and seconded by Doyle Lyda that Mayor Elliott's
appointment of A. P. Prude , Leroy Berkman, and Grady Watkins to Board of
Equalization be approved. Motion passed by Unanimous vote. Motion by Edward
Lee Evans and seconded by A. W. Hout, Jr., that Claud Eads be appointed Secretary
to the Equalization Board and that Cherles Norwood be appointed Assistant Secretary
to the Equalization Board. Motion passed by unanimous vote,
An Ordinance fixing the time for the meeting of the Poard of Equalization
for the City of Georgetown, Texas, was presented.
Motion by Edward Lee Evans and seconded by Kennie Wilcox, Jr. that Ordinance
be read in full and Roll call was as follows, Ayes, Wilcox, Evans, Hoyt, Miles,
Lyda- Noes- None.
SECOND READING Motion by A. We Hoyt, Jr, and seconded by E. P. Miles that
Ordinance contains emergency clause and that usual rules for passing of Ordinance
be suspended and that Ordinance be read by 8aption hereafter. Roll call, Vote,
Ayes, Hoyt, Wilcox, Lyda, Miles, Evans, Noes- None.
THIRD READING. Motion by Doyle Lyda and seconded by Edward Evans Ordinance be
read by Caption third and final reading, Roil call, Ayes, Wilcox, Hoyt, Miles,
Evans, Lyda, Noes- None. Mayor declared Ordinance passed. Ordinance Book

A. P. Prude, Leroy Berkman and Grady fttkins were sworn in by Mayor Elliott
as Equalization Board for the City of Georgetown. Mayor Elliott appointed
A. P. Prude as Chairman of the Board. Mayor Elliott read letter from C. S. Sanders
City Tax Collector defining the duties of the Board of Equalization.
The following motion was made by Edward Lee Evans and seconded by F. P. Miles;
that angle parking in the recessed area be permitted, and that the angle. -parking
area must be twenty (20) feet deep at right angle from existing curb to the new
parking curb in the South Side of the Wesleyan Home property on 12th, Street.
The following vote was casts Hoyt, Miles, Lyda, Evans- Yeaj Wilcox - No.

lotion by Wiloox and seconded by Evans that City continue to furnish
crater for 4wimming Pool for the Summer. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Motion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that City sprinkle at Ball Park before
each game. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business on motion by Wilcox and seconded by
Miles that meeting adjourn.
