Compton, Floyd Engvall, Floyd Jones, A. We Hoyt, Jr., Kennie Wilcox, Jr., City Manager, Lee C. Black, Charles Norwood, Assistant City Manager, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, Lenard McLaughlin, Fire Marshall, We K. MClain, City Attorney, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Co S. Sanders, City Tax Collector & Assessors Also present were S. T. Atkin, Howard Knox, Richard Smithe, Manager Black read reports for the month of February and submitted General Fund bills in the mount of $599.18 for approval. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Engvall that reports be accepted and bills be paid. Howard Knox showed films of various retirement homes and pictures of portions of streets in Georgetown in connection with his reasons for not widening 'Church Street on west side of the Wesleyan Dome. Architect Stanley Bliss presented drawings and blue prints of the proposed plans for reconstruction of Office, Polios and Fire Station Buildingso, Council suggested that prints be left with them for further study and oonsideration. RESOLUTION= TO SELL TO HIGHWAY DEPT. FOR WIDENING FARM ROAD ON NORTH SIDE OF SAN GABRIEL PARK .320 ACRES OF LAND DESCRIBED IN VOL. 214, PAGE 266 DEED RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS. On motion by Floyd Jones and seconded by Floyd Engvall that City Deed, .320 Acres to State of Texas for consideration of One Hundred Dollars. See Page 224 of Ordinance Book. Resolution was read by Meyor Co A. Forbes. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Jones that resolution be accepted. Passed by unanii;ous vote. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by A. We Hoyt, Jr., that Manager Black be authorized to purchase Miss Annie Purls Kindergarten Building for $ 1,300.00 and additional $550.00 for moving building to Airport and placing on location at airport. LEABa AgREEMEN'T PRESENTH8 BY DON SCARBROUGH TO LEASE 2.58 ACRES LAND IN NORTH PORTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 497 IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY , TEXAS, FOR RADIO TOWER LOCATION. 258 On Motion by Floyd Jones and seconded by J. H, Compton that annual rental be $50.00 payable in advance and in case of default of rental payment lease terminates. Also lesee to maintain fences and grounds. Council approved lease agreement by unanimous vote. Alderman, J. H. Compton requested that council accept his resignation as Councilmano in order that he would be qualified'to sun Mayor, Motion,by,Floyd Engvall and seconded by Kennie Wilcox, J;,that resignation be accepted, Motion carried, Mayor gave notice of a special election to fill -an unexpired term of a councilman, Election to be held simultaneously with the regular schedule City election April 3rd, 1962. Council reapproved its original agreement to the Wesleyan Homes, Inc. a $250.00 per -month credit in Utility bills for the first four years totaling $12,000.00 for the period.
