The City Council met in regular session on the above date. mayor,

?Manager, Black read reports for the month of December and submitted
bills in the amount of 1960.55. lotion by Kennie :,ilcox, Jr. and seconded by
A. 1. Ho!,t, Jr., that reports be accepted and bills be paid.
Tr. }Iobson ""artin met with the Council and presented the following
letter which was read by Mayor Forbes.
To the Pon. Liayor and members of the City Council of Georgetown, Texas.
Gentlemen:
At yolzr June 1959 Council meeting an emer-ency ordinance was
presented and passed designating Church St., from south city limits
to 12th,St., a Farm to %iarket Road and making it unlawful to park
in that area.
In l.'ay 19uO the street was paved and a few days later the no
Parking sins were erected.
For several weeks some of us protested this and were promised
relief of one kind or another. Again, I wish to protest and re-
spectfully request that our rights be restored. I further request
that this protest be made a part of the minutes of this City Countil
meeting.

Manager Flack stated that he and contacted Architects, Barnes Landes
Goodman and Youngblood and 6tanley Bliss in connection with erecting and re-
modeling the City Off ice,fire station and police office buildin,;s . i::anager
Black stated that there would be a fee of 6'J of cost of construction charged
by architects for their services. Manager Black stated that both firms had
good ideas and reputations.
Council suggested that uiana�,er Black contact lir. Bliss and have him
meet with Council at a culled meeting January 15, 19f,2 to discuss above pro-
jects with him.
There being no further business on motion by Floyd Jones and seconded
by Floyd T;n,;vall that meetinZ adjourn.
