The City Council met in regular session on the above date. Mayor, C. A. Forbes,
Udermen, J. H. Compton, Floyd Engvall, Floyd Jones, Idanager Lee C. Black,
H. A. Partatin, Assistant City Yana;er, Claud Eads, City Secretary, W. K. McClain,
City Attorney, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police.
T`anaL;er Black read reports for the month of November and submitted General
Fund bills in the amount of *"759.22. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by
Floyd me all that reports re accepted and bills be paid.
1,TanaC,er black read copy of letter written to Ifr. Ed i.ltaestin, District
rnCineer by Mayor Forbes suLGesting that illuminating three junctions on HiLhway
35 be included in their overall schedule.
Zoning Coranission met on Irovember 24, 1961 at which meeting the Commission
recd -mended that City Council amend Zoning map at S. E. Corner of Flock 11
Snyder addition changed from R 1, one family dwelling district to R 2, duplex
and apartment district.
14otion by Floyd Migvall and seconded by Floyd Jones that on recommendation
of Zoning Commission kmendment to Zoning Ordinance be approved.
Zonin; Ordinance was read regarding zoning change at S. r. Corner Block 11
Snyder Addition.
On Motion by Floyd Jones, and seconded by J. H. Compton, the usual rules
for passing ordinance, on account of there appearing an emergency clause therein
were suspended, requiring hereafter that the said Ordinance be passed to its
second reading by enption only. The I"otion carried by the following votes, Ayes,
Compton, Jones, '�n-vall, Does- :done.
Ordinance read by Onption . On motion of Alderman, Jones, seconded by
Alderman, Enrwall that usual rules for passing Ordinance were suspended orad that
said Ordinance was passed to the third reading and ordered reed by Caption. The
following was the vote, Ayes, Compton, Jones, Engvall, Roes- None, Mayor declared
Ordinance passed. Ordinance Book Paces 221-222 .
Mayor Forbes and Council sup-ested that Mans.Cer Black contact several
Architects and secure plans for rebuilding office and fire station.
Manager Black was authorized by coundil to secure new location for diunp
grounds for City and report back to council.
There being no further business on motion by Compton and seconded
by En veli that meeting adjourn.
