I.IcClain, City Attorney, Lenard Iuclwaughlin , Fire Marshall, Co S. Sanders, City Tax Collector & Assessor,L. G. Glover, General Superintendent, Claud Eads, City Secretaryp Also present were, Harold Parker, J. T. Parker, Russell Parker, Penny Draeger, Roland Streid, Earl Stubbs, firs. Jack Gillum, Mrs. Etta May, Lars. Kelly Friedrich. Manager Black read reports for the month of October and submitted bills in the amount of $565.62. Motion by J. H. Campton and seconded by A. W. Hoyt, Jr. that reports be accepted and bills be paid. Harold Parker, J. T. Parker and Russell Parker discussed the possibility of annexing l'Villiams and Crestview Additions to the City of Georgetown. Airs. Jack "illum, I?rs._EgISa May and Kelly Friedrich requested that the City Council waiver charge of *`15.00 for use of Sen Gabriel Center Building. After discussion request was withdrawn. Manager Black read his annual report for the year August 31, 1960 to September 1, 1961, Mr. George Boswell, Auditor, made detailed report to the City Council of his Audit of the City books from Sept. 1st, 1960 to August 31, 1961. Manager Black requested that C. S. Sanders, City Tax Collector , and Miss Estella Byrom, City Treasurer, be bonded by surety Companies. Motion by A. W. Hoyt, Jr. and seconded by J. H. Campton that this be done. Zoning commission met on October 30, 1961 at which meeting; the commission recommended that City Council amend zoning map at 12th & Church street from R-1 One -family dwelling district to B-1 local retail district. Motion by Floyd Jones and seconded by J. H, Compton that on recommendation of the Zoning Commission Amendment to Zoning Ordinance be approved. Zoning Amendment Ordinance was read regarding zoning change at 12th, and Church Streets. On motion by Kennie Wilcox, Jr, and seconded by Yloyd Engvall, the usual rules for passing ordinance, on account of their appearing an eriergency clause therein were suspended, requiring hereafter that the said ordinance be passed to its second reading and read by Caption only. The motion carried by following votes, Ayes, Compton, Engvall, Jones, Hoyt, lhilcox, Toes- None. Ordinance read'by Caption . On motion of Alderman Jones, seconded by Alderman, Engvall, the usual rules for passing Ordinance were suspended and the said Ordinance was passed to the third reading, and ordered read by Caption. The following was the vote, Ayes, Engvall, Jones, Hoyt, Wilcox,, Noes - None. RESOLifl ION -NOVEMIM 20, 1961 WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown participates in the Georgetown Recreation Program; and 1HTREAS; it is the desire of the City of Georgetown to delegate the authority for the management and use of the baseball fields to the Georgetown Recreation Board; NOVi THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council that the Georgetown Recreation Board be and it is hereby given the authority to manage all of the baseball fields , said Georgetown Recreation Board to plan the schedules of playing on said fields so that the City of Georgetown w11 have no authority as to when and where each team plays on said fields.
