W, Hoyt, Jr., Floyd Jones, Kennie Wilcox, Jr., Lee C. Black, City Manager, K. A. Partain, Assistant City Manager, Lenard NcLauohlin Fire Marshall, C. S. Sanders, City Tax Collector's Assessor, Claud 16ads , City Secretary, Also present was Martha Bowner reporter for Williamson County Sun. Manager 'lack read reports for the month of April and submitted bills in the amount of $ 879.14. b'.otion by Kennie Wilcox,Jr., and seconded by A. W. Hoyt, Jr., that reports be accepted and bills paid. City Council that Manager Black., Mayor Forbes meet with the officers of the Youth Council to discuss accepting assistance from Council. Petition was presented to the Council from members of San Jose vicinity to secure help in getting free city mail delivery in that area. Manager 131ack wQ_s authorized to sell diesel engine at Water Plant for $1,750.00. Manager Black reported that the Zoning Committee composed of Sam Brady, A. P. Prude and J. J. Jones, Jr., met and read the proposed zoning Ordinance and ordered a public hearing on the 25th, of May 1961. biayor Forbes read letterfrom Scout Master Wallace Giddings thanking City Officials for their courtesies shown his scouts in operating the City for a day. Resolution of the City Council of The City of Georgetown, Texas authorizing and directing the City Manager of said City to borrow such sums of money as may be necessary to pay bills for labor and materials for improvements to the Water Works 6ystem. Payments to be made from revenues of the City for the current year that have not been heretofore appropriated to some other purpose, as same be col- lected and become available . rherefores Be it resolved by The City Council of The City of Georgetown, Texass That City Manager of this City is hereby empowered, authorized and directed to borrow ueh sums of money to pay for labor and materials as same beeomtfor the improvement of Utility Systems of this City. That the said City Manager ishereby empowered to execute and deliver, in the mame of and on behalf of the City notes or warrants, evidencing the sum or sums so borrowed, same to become,due at a date not to exceed one year from date of the issuance thereof„ a.nd to besr interest from date at the rate of 35 - per cent per --a hi'lum. 236 Passed and approved this the 8th, day of Yay 1961.
