The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
C. A. Forbes, Alderman, U. H. Compton, Floyd Engvall, Floyd Jones, A.W.Hoyt,Jr,
Kennie V+ilcojc,Jr.,Lee C. Black, City Manager, H. A. Partain, Assistant, City
Manager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, We K. McClain, City Attorney, Dan Dowd&,
Chief of Police, Lenard YeLaughlin, Fire Marshall, C. S. Sanders, City Tax
Collector & Assessor.
Manager Black read reports for the month of March and submitted bills
in the amount of $612.97. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by A, We Hoyt,Jr,
that reports be accepted and bills be paid.
RESOLUTION
On this 10 day of April , 19 61 , the
City Council Georgetown, Texas�eing the governing body o said City ,
did convene in r64H session, pursuant to law, with its Mayor
presiding, and with the following duly elected members present, constituting a
quorum, to -wits
Mayor C, A. Forbes
Alderman J. H. Compton
Alderman A. Y1, Hoyt, Jr.
Alderman Kennie Wilcox, Jr.
Alderman Floyd Jones
Alderman Floyd Ergvall
The following resolution was moved by , and seconded

Be it Hereby Resolved that agreement between Missouri- Kansas -Texas
Railroad Company and City of Georgetown, Texas, a copy of which is
attached as Exhibit "Ahereto and made a Far-rhereof, for Pipe Line License
for 1511 -sewer -line crossing in vicinity of Mile Post 923.17
at Georgetown, Texas., 4illiamson County
be and it is hereby approved and accepted, and that C. A77orEes
as Mayor , and
as or this governing body, be and they are ereby
authorized , empowered and directed to execute said agreement and to do all things
necessary therefor, and that their acts in so doing are hereby adopted, ratified and
confirmed as the acts of said City Council
and of this governing body.
Said motion was duly carried and the resolution adopted,

be passed.
Mayor appointed committee of Jones and Engvall to canvass returns of
City election hedl April 4, 1961 to elect o Aldermen.

-We your Committee appointed to canvass the returns of The
City election held April 4th, 1961 to elect three Alderman
for the ensuing two years report as follows.
There were a total of 124 votes eas as follows.

Ed Harris, Ralph Jones, Bob Jones, and Robert H. Briles were
present and discussed at length the possibility of the City Council
assisting in the promotion of the Youth council in the Community.
The Carver Park committee requested that the City council construct
Tennis courts and bleachers for the Carver park.
Manager Black was instructed to look into the cost of the construction
of the bleachers and tennis courts and report to council at next
meeting.
There being no further business on motion by Hoyt, and seconded by
Jones that meeting adjourn.
