Compton, Floyd Engvall, A. it. Hoyt, Jr. Floyd Jones, Kennie Wilcox, Jr. Lee C. Black, City Manager, H. A. Partain, Assistant City Manager, Claud Eads, Secretary, W. K. McClain, City Attorney, Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, C. S. Sanders, City Tex Collector. Manager Black read reports for the month of February and submitted bills in the amount of $1,017.97. '.otion by J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Jones that reports be accepted and bills be paid. SALARY ORDINANCE- See Ordinance Book Page # 203 : Motion by alderman Hoyt, seconded by 1,11ilcox- that ordinance be read in full. Roll call votes as follows; Ayes- Compton, Hoyt, Jones, Engvell, 1'dilcox. Noes None. SALARY ORDINANCE - SECOND READING: Notion by Alderman V4ilcox- seconded by Jones that the usual rule for passing be suspended because of the emergency clause and that this ordinance be read by caption. Roll call vote as follows; Ayes - Compton, Engvall, Hoyt, Jones, idilcox, Noes- None. Ordinance read by caption and Roll call Vote as follows; Ayes- Compton, Engvall, Hoyt, Jones, Wilcox, Noes- None. SALARY ORDINANCE * THIRD READING; Motion by A. fie Hoyt, Jr. seconded by J. H. Compton that ordinance be reed by caption for third and final reading. Roll call Vote as follows; Ayes- Compton, Engvall, Hoyt, Jones, Wilcox. Noes - None. Mayor declared ordinance passed. MRyor Forbes then read notice of City election to be held first Tuesday in April that being April 4th, and announced H. H. Pennington as election Judge. The following paid and cancelled bonds and coupons were burned by committee from City Council. Airport Bond First issue dated Sept. 16, 1941. Bonds No. 14, 15, 16, 17 & L8. Airport Bond - Second issue dated Sept* 16, 1945. Bonds No. 4, 5, 6, & 7. City of Georgetown Sewer Bond dated Feb. 1, 1930• Bonds No. 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 1180 119, 120. City of Georgetown Street Refunding Bonds, dated July 1st, 1935• Bonds No. 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54. 55, 56, 57, & 58. City of Georgetown Water Works Improvement Bond dated Feb.l, 1937. Bonds No. 20, 21, 220 23 & 24. The Pond #24 was paid Feb. 25, 1961 after the Auditors Examination and Audit in Sept. 1960. Other Bonds were burned by the City Council March 7th, 1950 and November 14, 1956• The above Bonds and Coupons burned by the following on this the 20 th day of march 1961. Mayor C. A. Forbes Aldermen Kennis "iloex A. Vi. Hoyt, Jr. Explorer Scout troop, Wallace Giddings Scout Truster met with Council. Mayor Forbes explained to the group the different types of City government and functions of each. Mayor Forbes also explained the duties of each member of the City government of the City of Georgetown. Garbage charge to the Dairy Hill was discussed and was suE_gested the Ordinance regarding same be checked to assure the parties that there was no discrimination being made against the Dairy Hill.
