The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor C. A. Forbes,
Aldermen, H. H. Compton, Floyd Engvall, A. W. Hoyt,Jr., Floyd Jones, Kennie Viilcox,Jr.
Lee C. Black, City Manager , H. A. Partain, Assistant City Manager, Claud Eads,
City Secretary, W. K. McClain, City Attorney, Lenard McLaughlin, C. S. Sanders,
City Tax Collector, C. Be Harris,Jr, Edwin Schneider, Jim Janetsky, Airport
Manager, Davis Taylor, Thomas D. Mann, Robert Guthrie, Bill Forest, Jim Boutwell,
V.P.. Champion, Air Craft Corporation..
Bill Forest discussed the possibility of getting a Carnival to come to
under the
Georgetown h ponsorship of the Optomist Club to raise funds for the Optomist
Club. The Council could not grentpermission to do so as there is an ordinance
forbidding Carnivals to locate within 600 feet of any residence.
Manager Black read reports for the month of December and submitted General ;
Fund bills in the amount'of $663.49. ?lotion by J. H. Compton and seconded by
Floyd Engvall that reports be accepted and be paid.
An Ordinance presented providing rules and regulations concerning the
Georgetown Municipal Airport. Motion by A. W. Hoyt, Jr., and seconded by
J. H. Compton, that ordinance be read in full roll call vote was as follows,
Ayes, Compton, Jones,Engvall, Hoyt, Wilcox, Noes, None. Ordinance read in
full.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS
CONCERNING THE GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT;
PROVIDING THAT NO PERSON SHALL USE THE AIRPORT
FOR CARRYING ON OF CO'%W-ERCIAL ACTIVITIES, FOR
INSTRUCTION IN AVIATION IN ANY OF I1.'S BRANCHES,
FOR SALE OF ANY CO1WTODITIES ETC.,UNLESS APPROVED
BY }'WRITTEN PERMIT FROM THE CITY COUNCIL; PRO-
VIDING FOR GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS IN THE USE
OF AIRPORT; REGULATING AIR AND GROUND TRAFFIC;
REGULATING TRE USE OF AIRCRAFT FATGINES; PROVIDING
FOR FIRE REGULATIONS; REGULATING STUDENT TRAINING
AND PRACTICE FLYING ; ALL PERSONS USING AIRPORT
MAY SECURE COPIES OF THIS ORDIPiANCE FROM AIRPORT
MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT IN RULES; PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY OF $200.00 FOR VIOLATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE AND DECLARING
AN Er-ERGENCY FOR ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCE.
SECOND READING, Motion by Wilcox and seconded by Compton that ordinance
contains the emergency clause and that usual rules for passing of the ordinance
be suspended and that the ordinance be read by caption hereafter. Roll call
Vote. Ayes, Compton, Jones, Engvall, Hoyt, Wilcox. Noes • None.
THIRD READING Motion by Jones, and seconded by Hoyt, ordinance be read by
caption third and final reading, roll call, Ayes, Compton, Jones, Engvall,
Hoyt, Wilcox, Noes - None. Mayor declared Ordinance passed. ( See Ordinance

Lenard McLaughlin came before Council regarding taxes on his mother's
home regarding delinquent taxes which had relations with a suit against the
City of Georgetown and settled out of court. Action was delayed until further
study could be made.

Father Pawlicki appeared before Council regarding juvenile delinquent
problems in'.the City.
A proposed 6 in, water line to be laid from City limits on Highway 29,
2,533 feet west toward Liberty Hill. Motion by Compton and seconded by Jones
line be laid. Motion carried. A discussion held on cha ges for water outside
city limits and was decided that all,commercial users would be charged l
times regular rate.
Mayor Forbes asked W. K. MClain to prepare resolution for Mayor Smith.
Motion by F. E. Jones, Seconded by A. We Hoyt that resolution be spread
on minutes.
There being no further business on motion by A. W. Hoyt and seconded by
J. H. Compton that meeting adjourn.
