HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 12.12.1960 CC-R223 Georgetown, Texas. December 12,1960 The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor C. A. Forbes, Alderman, J. H. Compton, A& W. Hoyt, Jr., Kennie Wilcox,Jr., Floyd Jones, Floyd Engvall, Lee C. Black, City Manager, H. p. Partain Assistant City Manager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, W. K. McClain, City Attorney. Manager Black read reports for the month of November and submitted General Fund bills in the amount of $1,067.79. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Engvall that reports be accepted and bills paid. Manager Black reported that the post of construction of a 6" water line 2700 feet across the South San Gabriel River for the purpose of serving the Transmix Company would cost $9,418.62. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by A. W. Hoyt, Jr. that Manager Black make contract with the Transmix Company to pay 50% of cost of pipe. The Transmix Company to be billed at 1i times our water rate inside city limits of which 113 of monthly bill to be credited to transmix's account at the end of each year for a Ten Year period. Manager Black read lease agreement between the City of Georgetown and J. L. Janetsky for the operation of the Georgetown Airport. Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Engvall that lease be approved. Manager Black stated since the population of the City of Georgetown was over 5000 that we would be compilled to comply with the State Plumbing Code,i The City Council requested that Mr. Black Comply with States request to enforce State Plumbing Code in the City of Georgetown . Aubrey Nobles discussed the possibility of operating an instruction school at the Georgetown Airport, The Council assured him they would cooperate fully with him in.ttrying to comply with his wishes.
