The City Council met in re-ular session on the above date. Mayor,
C. A. Forbes, Alderman, Floyd Jones, Kennie IiUlcox, Jr., J. H. Compton,
Floyd Engvall, Lee C. Black, City Manager, H. A. Partain, Assistant City
i::anager, K. McClain , City Attorney, C. S. Senders , City Tax Collector ,
Dan Dowda, Chief of Police, Lenard McLaughlin, Fire Varshall, Claud Eads,
City Secretary, Manager Black read reports for the month of July and
submitted General Fund Bills in the ammunt of $741.01 for approval. Motion
by J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Engvall that reports be approved and
bills be paid.

An Ordinance was presented to Council to abandon all of �'`,,.th, Street
which lies east of Olive Street and ';.est of Laurel Street in the City of
Georgetown. The City in abandoning said portion of 14th Street desires to
convey same to land owners for the consideration as hereafter stated ( See
Ordinance Book Page 192 •
-otion By J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Engvall that Ordinance be
read in full and was passed by following vote.. ,yes- Compton, Jones, '011cox

On Motion by J. H. Compton and seconded by Floyd Jones that Ordinance
containing the emergency clause that the rules of Passing Ordinance at Separate
meetings be and hereby suspemded and passed to second reading, hereafter to be
read by Caption following being the vote, Ayes, Compton, Jones, Enevall, Wilcox,
Noes- None.

On motion by V'+ilcox and seconded by Jones that Ordinance be passed to second
reading :'Lotion carried by following vote, Ayes, Compton, Jones, Engvall,
Wilcox, rdoes- None.
On motion by Jones and seconded by Compton the Ordinance was passed to
third reading by the following Ayes, Compton, Jones, Ailcox, Engvell, Noes- None.
Mayor Forbes declared the said Ordinance as finally passed.
There being no further business on Notion by VI-ilcox and seconded by Jones
that meeting adjourn.
