Compton, A. tiff. Hoyt, Jr, F. Be Jones, Kennie Wilcox, Jr., City Manager ,Black, H. A. Partain, Assistant Manager, Claud Eads, secretary, W. K. McClain, Attorney, C. S. Sanders, Tax Collector. Minutes of previous meeting were read and on motion J. H. Compton se- conded by A. W. Hoyt, Jr. were approved as read. Manager Black read his reports and the other official reports and bills in the amount of $617.95 for approval and payment on motion of A. 1Y. Hoyt, Jr, seconded by J. H. Compton , the reports were received for filing and accounts ordered paid. Salary Ordinance for year 1960 was presented by J. H. Compton moved same be read in full. Alderman, Wilcox seconded the motion and was passed by following votes, Ayes- Compton, Hoyt, Wilcox, Jones, Noes, none. (See Ordinance Book Page #178). On motion of Jones that usual rule for passing Ordinance be suspended because of the emergency clause, and same be read by oaptian , passed its second reading. Motion carried by following vote Ayes, Compton, Hoyt, Jones, Wilcox, Noes, none. On motion of Compton, seoonded by Jones said ordinance passed to third reading following is the vote, Ayes, Compton, Jones, Hoyt, Kilcox, Noes, none. Ordiance read by captian. On motion of Jones, seconded by Compton the ordinance was passed finally by following votes, Ayes, Compton, Jones,Hbyt, Vilcox, Noes, none. Tax Ordinance s It was moved by Jones, that tax Ordinance for the ensuing year be read in full, motion seconded by Hoyt, with following votes, Ayes, Canpton, Jones, Hoyt, Wilcox, Noes, none. Ordinance. read (See Ordinance Book Page 179 ). Motion made by Alderman Wilcox that above Ordinance contains emergency clause, therefore the usual rules for passing ordinances be suspended the same be read by captian hereafter and passed to second reading. Motion seconded by Hoyt and passed by following vote, Ayes, Compton, Jones, Hoyt, Wilcox, Noes, none. Ordinance read by oaptian. On motion Compton seconded by %iilcox, ordinance was passed to third and final reading Following was vote-, Ayes, Compton, Jones, Hoyt, Wilcox, Noes, none. Mayor Forbes read his election Notice for the election of Mayor. and two Alderman to be held on first Tuesday in April same being 5th, day of April 1960 and naming H. Ii. Pennington as Judge with auth- ority to appoint the assistant needed. Mayor Forbes read letter,to the school Board regarding revaluation program concerning the City and School Board.
