The City Council met in regular session with the following
present, mayor C. A. Forbes, Alderman Kennie iVilcox, Jr. A.W.Hoyt,Jr.
F. E. Jones, E. K. Fredericson, Lee C. Black, City Lanager, H. A.
Partain, Assistant City Lianager, C. �. Sanders, Tax Collector,
U. K. McClain, City Attorney, Claud Eads, City Secretary.
Manager Black read the minutes for the month of July and
August and presented bill of the General Fund in the amount of
$1,173.56 for approval. A motion of Alderman Jones seconded by
Fredericson that reports be approved and bills paid.
Request for parking space by Ray Walden was refused. Petition
was read signed by Hattie Tanksley and others relating to the building
of stock pens by GeorSetown Railroad C mpany.
The City Attorney ii. K. McClain advised that the City did not
own any of the land and that the City will be interested only from stand-
point that nothing is done in this community which may or -might create
a nuisance to the extent that the public health of the community is ef-
fected. He was instructed to inform them of the city's action.
Pair. Robert Burnham presented resolution asking that the Plat of
Burnham Addition be authorized for filing and recording. On motions
of Alderman Fredericson, seconded by Hoyt. Resolution was passed
(See Resolution Ordinance Book Page 174).
Council authorized City Manager to purchase Aerial ladder for
Electric department.
Their being no further business on motion Alderman 1911cox
seconded by Hoyt Council adjourned.
