NOVEMBER 10, 1958 "<
City Council met in regular session with the following present; Mayor
Forbes - Aldermen Compton, Frediricson, Freund, Jones and Wilcox -
Manager Black - Asst. Manager Partain - City Attorney McClain - Chief
Pickle and Secretary McCook.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of Alderman
Frel6ricson, seconded by Freund - minutes approved as read.
Manager Black then read the reports for the month of October and
submitted bi I Is in the amount of $941.54 for payment out of the General
Fund. On motion of Alderman Compton, seconded by Jones - reports accepted
and bills approved for payment.
Mr. Black and Mr. McClain then explained an; offer received from
Mr. H. Timmerman of $2,500.00 cash for the A. p. Williams note provided
the city will releade the lein on the equipment.
Motion by Alderman Compton, seconded by Freund - that city accept the
cash offer for the William's note and that the Mayor be authorized to
execute a transfer of the lein from the city to Mr. Timmerman. Motion
Carried.
Mr. Black then informed the Council that the annual Christmas
decorations plans were in progress and it was hoped to have the town
decorated by Thanksgiving.

A general discussion followed of the/of some members of the Sheriffs
Posde to build private stables Northeast of the Rodeo Arena. The
individuals to pay for water and electric lines as well as the buildings
and the Sheriffs Posse to pay the monthly utility bill. No formal
action taken at this meeting.
A discussion of the water needs of Southwestern University for the
campus sprinkler system followed. Opinion seemed to be that the city
would furnish a pump in the old spring well and the University would
pay operating and maintenance cost and ( W) one cent per thousand
for the untreated water. No formal action taken at this meeting.
On motion of Alderman Compton, seconded by Jones - council adjourned.
