Atkin presiding. the following members were present: Alderman; J. H. Compton, B.K. Fredericson, Ralph Freund, Kennie Wilcox and A. C. .aoodfin. City Manager Lee C. Black; Ass't�,aliceer H. A. ar- tsin; 'y, H, Nunn, attorney; Assistant Chief of i L. Cates, secretary. Minutes of the previous regular and called sessions were read and on motion of Ald. A. C. Toodfin, seconded by Ald. L.K. Fredericson, were approved as read. Manager Lee C. Black read his and the -other officials reports, and bills and accounts fax amounting to $678.30 for approval and payment. On motion of Ald, Compton, seconded by Ald. Fredericsonthe reports was received for filing and the accounts were ordered paid. Manager Black reported than.Texas Highway Deitt. had recently placed two traffic sigIns on street adjacent to the school buildings. Mr. Boswell of the Auditing Committee was present and delivered copies of the report just recently completed for the year and made a detailed statement of the report to the Council, and complimented the Council on the management of the City's business. AN ORDINANCE "An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas, Amending that `er- tain ordinance pertaini 6 to the inspection of the inspection of anim male slaughtered for meat that was passed and approved on the 13th, day of January, A,D. 19479 by confirming the said Ordinance and adding thereto provisions fixing the qualifications of inspectors, the fees to be paid for inspecting, who shall collect and pay the said fees, fix- ing a penalty for the violation of the provisions thereof, and de- claring an emergency."/�,L 0 Alderman F. K. Fredericson presented w' which the above is the Caption, and moved the same read in full. Alderman A. C. Toodfinseconded the motion, and the same was passed unanimousljr. The Ordinance of which the above is captio was read in full. (see same recorded in Ordinance Record Boo)g on Page.) On motion of Ald Tilcox, seconded by Ald. 7rederieson the ordinance containing the emergency clause, that the usual rules for passing ordinances be hereby suspended and the same hereafter be read by cap- tion and passed its second reading, was passed. The same was read by caption and passed by the following votes Ayes; Compton, Fredericson, Freund, 'Vilcox, "Voodfin. Note --none Ordinance read by Caption: On motion of Ald. `Voodfin, seconded by Ald. Fredericson, the said ordP nanee passed its sthdrd reading by the following votes Ayess Compton, Fredericson, Freund, Tilcox, Woodfin. Noes4-none. Ordinance read by Caption: On the motion of Aldo milcox, seconded by Ald. Fredericson the above Ordinance was finally passed by the following vote: Ayes: Compton, Fredericson, Freund, 'Vilcox '9oodfin. Noes --None. The Mayor declared the ordinance duly passed.
