The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
J. T. Atkin presiding, the followeving members being presents
Aldermen: J. H. Compton, F. K. Predericson, Ralph Freund, Mennie
Wilcox, Jr., A. C. Woodfin, Lee C. Black City manager; 4j. TI. Par-
tain Asst Mgr., To H. Numn, attorney; A. P. Pickle Chief of police;
Lenard McLaughlin electrical inspector; M. L. Cates, secretary.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and on motion of
Ald. Freund, seconded by Ald. Toodfin were approved as read.
City Manager Black read his monthly report, including other officials'
reports and bills and accounts for approval amo.inting to $800.84.
on motion of Ald.,^reund, seconded by Ald Toodfin the reports were
received and filed and accounts ordered paid.
Mr. Ste * Sheriff Matycek, Constable Champion and Mr. Talden
were pesent in the interest of traffic signs designed to slow down
traffic on streets adjacent to public schools. The matter has been
taken up with the State Highway Department, whose rules will ku
have to be complied with.
Motion by Tilcox, seconded by Fredericson to adjourn, carried.

The City Council met in called session on the sbobe date, at 5 P.M.,
Mayor J. T. Atkin presiding. The following were present' J. H.
Compton, Ralph Freund, E. K. Fredericson, Kennie Wilcox, Jr.,. City
Manager Lee C. Black, Assistant Manager H. A. Partain; Chief of
Police Andy Pickle; Asst, Chief Dan DowdX.
On motion of -Elmer Fredericson, seconded by Ald Ralph Freund the
Councilm voted to employ Mr. ?alter Birch as a policeman to replace
Mr. Jim Cole, who resigned.
There being no further business, on
motion of Ald. Compton, seconded by Ald. Wilcoz the Council
Adjourned,
