HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 08.12.1957 CC-R174 Georgetown, Texaa+ August 12th, 1957. The City Council met in regular monthly session on the above date, Mayor J. T. Atkin presiding, the following aldermen and officers were present;: Aldermen --J. H. Compton, E.K. Fredericson, Ralph Freund, Kennie 'Vilcox, :r.,A. C. Toodfin. Officials --Lee C. Black, city manager; J. H. Partain, Asst. Mgr., '9. H. Nunn, attorney, A. P. Pickle, chief of police, M. L. Cates, secretary. Minutes of the previous meeting were reed and approved on the motion of Ald. Fredericson, seconded by Ald. Compton. City Manager Lee C. Black read his monthly report and the reports of other officials, and the amount of bills to be approved and paid, which was $990.93. Onmotion of Ald. Tilcox, seconded by Ald. Freund the reports were received and filed and the accounts were Ordered paid. Fireman Lenard McLaughlin, one of the firemen of the city who attend- ed the Annual Firemen's Schooll this year, demonstrated his report with colored slide pictures, which portrayed ideas of the extensive instructions that were taught at the schools The report was very interesting. Wright, own a lot 85 feet by 1,30 feet located in the Northeast corner of. Block 3 of the F. A. Peterson Subdivision of Outlot % Division H City of Georgetown, Tilliamson County, Texas. T,HRR.EAS,it appears that the house now located on said lot extends six ins inches into 19th Street. ViEREAS, to avoid moving said houseand further difficulty it is desired that the City convey to Chas. F. 'right a strip of land along the South line of 19th Street, 2 feet wide and 130 feet long. THEREFORE,Be It Resolved that the City Council in regular session authorize the Mayor, J. T. Atkin, of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to execute and deliver such deed to Cahs. F.
