The following aldermen were present, J. H. Compton, Ralph A. Freund, E. K• Frederioson, A. C. Woodfin, Kennie Wilcox, Jr, Manager Lee C. Blgok, Assistant Manager H. A. Partain, City Attorney W. H. Nunn. Manager Lee Black presented an estimate of the damage done to San Gabriel Park by the Flood. The estimate• was $53,500.00. Mayor I.tkin read telegrams from Mr. William L. McGill State Coordinator State Disaster & Relief with reference to State Aid on damages, health and rehabilitation of City's damages. Manager Lee Black presented cost submitted by LdVne Texas Drilling Co. and Texas Water Wells Co, on drilling a test well for the City of Georgetown. It was moved by Alderman Compton and seconded by Alderman Freund that City Manager Black's recommendation of accepting Layne Texas Company bid of drilling test well be accepted and that location as decided upon above gravel pit in Mr. Woodfin's pasture be finally approved. Motion was passed unanimously. Oh motion of ald = Frederioson andseconded by 1A1d f .Woodfin the Council voted unanimously to issue a check to Mr. Mather Dorbandt for services rendered in locating the site for the test well.
