The following members of the Council were present ; J. H. Compton, Elmer Fredericson, Ralph Freund,Kennie Wilcox Jr. & A. C. Woodfin & City manager, Lee C. Black. TAR ORDINANCE: It was moved by Ald; Woodfin, that tax ordinance for the ensuing term be read in full, and the motion was seconded by Aldi Wilcox, which carried the following being the vote Ayes; Compton , Fredericson, Freund, Wilcox, Woodfin Noes none. Ordinance read ( See Ordinance Book Page # 127 - Motion made by Ald; Woodfin that the above ordinance contains the emergency clause, therefore the usual rules for passing ordinances be suspended, the acme read by caption hereafter and passed its second reading . Motion seconddd by Ald; Wilcox and passed by the following votes; Ayess Compton, Fredericson, Freund, Wilcox &-Woodfin Noes' -none. Ordinance read b oa tion s On motion of Ald; Woodfin said ordinance was passed to its third and final rending after being seconded by Alds Wilcox . Following was the vote, Ayes; Compton, Fredericson, Freund, Wilcox, Woodfin. Noes. none. SALARY ORDINANCE s For the ensuing teras- Ald= Campton presented the salary ordinance and moved that same be read in full. Ald, Fredericson seconded the motion and passed by the following votes s Ayes - Compton, Freund, Fredericson, Wilsox & Woodfin, Noes, none ( Ordinance read see Pate # 121 in Ordinance book* Motion was made by Ald; re er oson t at the usual rue or passing ordinances be suspended because of the emergency clause, and same be read by caption, passed its second reading. The motion carried by the following votes, Ayes - Compton, Fredericson, Freund, Wilsox & Woodfin. Noes, none. Ordinance read by caption. On motion of Ald; Freund seconded by Ald; Wilooa said brdinance passed its third reading. The following being the vote, Ayes- Compton, Freund, Frederioson, Wilcox, Woodfin, Noes, none. Ordinance read bX caption On motion of Ald; Wilaox, seconded by Ald.;Compton the ordinance was passed finally by the following votes, Ayeas Compton, Freund, Fredericson, Wilcox, Woodfin. Noes, None, Mayor J. T. Askin read his election notice for the election of three aldermen, to be held on'the first Tuesday in April, the same being the 2nd. day of April, 1957, and naming H. H. Pennington as Judge, with authority to appoint the assistants needed. There being no further business the Council adjourned on motion of Ald; Woodfin, seconded by Ald; Compton.
