The City Council met in regulf.ry monthly session on the above date.
"ayor J. T. Atkin presiding;. The following were present ;.Aldermen;
J. H. Compton, F. K. F'rederiscon, Ralph Freund, . C. V;oodfin,
Kennie "Jilcox Jr., Lee C. Black, City manager; Assistant hanger,
H. to Partain, A. P. Pickle, Chief of Police.
The minutes of the pre7,ious meeting were read and on the motion of
Alderman Kennie 'vdilcox Jr. and seconded by Aderman ti4ocdfin were ap-
prove:$ as read.
City Iuana7er Ipe Black read his December report; the reports of the
other officials and accounts to be approved and paid in the amount of
x'1,026.72 on the motion of Ald. ',';ood.f.in, seconded by Aldo w'iilcox the
accounts were ordered paid and all reports were approved for Pilin.
Dr. T cCook and hlr. Holmes from Southwestern 7niversity presented plans
for future street improvements and ask that the City give the University
a deed to that part of Olive atreet to be closed.

I.r. Joe Barnes and C. C. Sanders presented plans for a root Ball stadii^_n
to be built in Sr;n Gabriel Park the council pledged their full support
to this projectp and agreed to make land available.
Motion was made by Ald. Woodfin, seconded by Ald. Freund authorizing City
Iaanager Lee Black to proceed eyith plans for a water survey by Mr. Guyton
in the immediate area.
The City Council crave City i+Iana!;er Lee Black the authority to make a trade
with T+Ir. Jessie LA.bit to go to work as a City Policeman.
Motion was made bir Ald. 's;ilcox seconded by Ald. Fredericson to renew the
lease contract with Liamolia Petroleitm Co. at the .';unicipal Air -,ort for
the next 10 years expiring; in 1966.
There being no further business motion was made by Ald.
Compton seconded br Ald. Freund that the meeting be
adjourned.
