'December 10th, 1956.
The City Council met in regular monthly session on the above date,
Mayor J. T. Atkin presiding. The following were present: Aldermen;
J. H. Compton, B.'K. Fredericson, Ralph Freund, A. C. Noodfin,
Kennie '"ilcox, Jr. Other members: Lee C. Black, city manager;
Assistant Hgr. 71. A. Partain; A. P. Pickle, chief of Police:
M. L. Cates, secretary.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and on the motion of
Aldo Toodfin, seconded by Ald. Tilcox were approved as read.
City Manager Black read his November Report; the reports of
the other officials and accounts to be approved and paid in the
amount of $470.55. On the motion of Aldo Compton, seconded by Aldo
Freund the accounts were ordered paid .and all reports were approv-
ed for filing.
A letter from the Magnolia Petroleum Company stating the company
desired to renew the lease of the Municipal Airport Service Sta-
tion was read. The Council postponed action.
Written resignation from Robert V. Champion requesting'tte resig-
nation from the police farce be accepted as of Dec. 15th, 1956
was read. On motion of Aldo Wovo fin, seconded by Aldo Compton
the resignation was accepted unanimously.
