Atkin presiding, the following Aldermen.. and othermembers of the Council were presents Aldermen: r J. H. Compton, E. K. Freidericson, Ralph Freundp A. Co Woodfin, Kinnie Wilcoxg Jr., City Manager. Lee C. Blakk, J. H. Partain, assistant manager; W. H. Nunn, attorney; A. P. Pickle, police chief; M. L. Cates, secretary: Manager Black read his regular monthly report and of the other offieiala, showing $351.990 payable, to be approvedr 9nd:filed. Accordingly on motion of Aldo Wilcox, seconded by Aldo Woodfin was passed. Mr. Carl Dunn was presents who requested the Counal re cooperation in the promotion of one day Cowboy Rodeo to be held 9T the Sheriff~ Pos- ses Arens on April 21, at which no admission charges will be imposed. The date also being a legal holiday, Motion was made by Aldo Compton that the parking meeting be voided for the day, which motion was seconded by Aldo Freund and was unanimously passed. RPH SOLnT ION. Resolution of the City of Georgetown, Texas,'authorizing and directing the City Manager of the city to barrow 449000.00 orlese for the purchase of a fire truck to be used in.the city and in the county, for fighting rural and city fites. This authorization is for the.life of said not�an the note bearing interest at the rate of Three (3%) per cent per annum, to be paid by funds received from the Counct and supplemented.by'dit.Vsfunds if necessary in two annual payments. Current revenues of the city are sufficient to take care of this and any condition that may arise to take care of this obligation. On motion of 11dohman Ralph -Freund, seconded by Alderman Hamer Frederioson, the forgoing resolution was passed unanimously. RESULTS OF ANNUAL ELECTION APRIL 3rd Mayor Atkin appointed Alderman Compton and Freund to canvass the returns of the Municipal Electiong held on the 3rd day of April., 1956. The committee reported as follows There were 64 votes east~ that each candidate received votes as follows: For Mayor, J. T. Alderman Woodfin moved that the-Counoil*Cooperate : and the Annual` Recreational Program in the usual manner. Aldo Freund seconded the motion whie carried snantmoukyy.
