March 14, 1955
The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor J. T.
Atkin presiding, the following Members were present: Aldermen --J. H.
Compton, B. K. Fredericson, Fred Cooper Smith, Kennie 'Nilcox, Jr., and
A. C. Woodfin. Other members: Lee C. Black, City Manager; Asst Manager
Partain; W. H. 'Tuna, attorny; C. S. Sanders, assessor -collector;
A. P. Pickle, chief of police; M. L. Cates, secretary.
Minutes of the previous adjourned and regular sessions were approved,
on the motion and second of Ald. Compton. And Ald. Woodfin.
Manager Lee C. Black read his monthly report and the reports of the other
officials , and the current bills and accounts for in the amount of
$961.159 for approval. On motion of AlddxmanuA:iC. Woodfin, seconded by
Aldermen J. H. Compton, the Council received the repotts"for'filixg and
ordered all bills paid.
City Treasuret requested the cancellation of two Warrants of,$10000.00
each, kmoW4 as the Treuthardt Farm Warrantt4 owned by the Having Bond
Account, and thebaln%ce of said account amounting to $289.75 be
transferred to the Street Refund Account. Amotion was made by Ald.
Fredericson, seconded by Ald. Smith that the transaction be concluded
as requested, which was carried unanimously.
There occurring no further business, the Council adjourned.
