The City Council meta in as adjourned session for the purpose of
of opening the bids received for the purpose of puebasing a new
Police Automobile for the City. The following were present; --
Aldermen --J. H. Compton, E. Y. ?redericson, Kennie ''Vileox, Jr.,
A. Co WoOdfin and City Vpn^ger Lee C. R1Qek, Ypyor J. T. Atkin,
who presided, and Ifl. L. Cstes, secretary.
The following sealed bids were reeeived--the total of eseh bid
was as folowss

Compton Chevrolet Co.,........... 1489.46 1540.46
V. G. Lord & Co.................. 1581.86 1659.86
The bid of the Compton Chevrolet Co., of Georgetown rhich was X1489.46
being the loweat bid the Council awarded the purchase to that Company,
on motion of Aldermaw Kennie Wilcox, Jr., seconded by Aldermsn
L. K. Frederieson, which carried by unanimous vote of these Aldermen
present.
There being no further buines5, the Council Adjourned.
