Atkin presiding, the following sldermen were present: T. H. Compton,g. K. Frederies©n, F. C. Smith, A. C. '9oodfin, Kennie Tilcox Jr. Other members: Lee C. Black City Manager; T. N. Nunn, city attor- ney; A. P. Pickle, police chief; M. L. Cates, secretary. Visitors present: Mr, Tsom of Isom's Gporting Goods'and 4ift Shop, and a representative from The Gun Publishing Company. The minutes of the -lest regular session Abd an adjourned session were read and on motion of Ald. Woodfin, seconded by Ald. Tilcox, were approved. City Manager Black read his monthly report and the reports of the police department and the city treasurer, elso the statment of the bills and accounts. On motion of Ald. Compton, seconded by Ald. Woodfin, the bills ere ordered paid and all reports approved and filed. Resolution A resolution of which the following is caption was read in full. On motion of Ald. A. C. ;voodfinp seconded by Ald. T. H. Compton, the 9bregomng resolution was passed tinanimously. On motion of Ald. .vilcox, seconded by Ald.' Fredericson, the City Council approved the agreemen5 between the State Health'Department and the City, whereby the city will pay the State :2200.00 for maintenance of the city health unit another year, as of date of the previous contract. Fredericson,"tne bids of R. H. Wiley of Florence being the highest on each of the two barracks, therefore his bids be accepted. E. K. rrederieson that the usual rules for passing ordi- nances be hereby suspended, that the same be read by caption hereafter and passed its second reading. The motion was seconded by Ald. Kennie Wilcox, Jr., and was passed by the following vote: Ayes --Compton, Fredericson, Smith Tilcox, `Voodfin. The mayor declared the Maintenance Ordinance duly and Constitutimnally passed. There appearing no further business the Council Adjourned.
