The Cit Council met in regular monthly session on the above -date,
Moyor J. T. Atkin presiding. The following members being presents
Aldermen, 'Be K. Fredericson, Fred'C. Sm6th, A. C.-Tbodfin, and Fennie
Wilcox, Jr. Other members: Lee C.'91ock, city manager; W. 11. Nunn,
city attorney; C. S. Sanders, tax assessor -collector; A. Pe Pickle,
chief of police; U. L. CL:tes, secretary.
Vinutes of the last regular and called'aessi"ons were read and on
motion of Ald. Woodfin seconded by Ald. Fredericaon were approved.
On motion of Ald. Frederieson, seconded by Ald. Smith, the mayor
was authorized t® sign a. deed conveying a lot in the Cnrver Park
Addition to Narvell and Bruce Stiner.
On motion of Ald. Smith, second*d by Alda Frederieson, a. Resolution
was passed "Authorizing the Police Depprtment of the City of Georgetown,
to issue parking notices with certin dismissol conditions prescribed
thereon and authorizing the dismissal Yhereof upo-A certain conditions.
The resolution is os follows:
-Be it Resolved by the City Coun-
cil of the City of Georgetown,
Texas:
Section 1. That henceforth from
!effective date of this resolution
Tor the offense ofllegai, over-
time parking in a space where
there is an adjacent parking me-
-ter maintained and under circum-
stances constituting a violation of
the overtime parking law as de-
fined under theexisting City Or-
dinance of the -City, the Police
Department is authorized to !,
stamp on the "Notice -to -Appear
ticket the following words: This
ioffense will be dismissed after
,you take this ticket to City Hall
p (9th and Main Street) and there
deposit 5c in meter within one
hour from time when this ticket
was issued.
Section 2. The presentation of
othe ticket and the deposit of 5c
*ithin one hour after the time
,said ticket was issued constitutes
grounds for dismisal by the Po -
dice Department.
'Section 3. The depoit of 6c at
the City Hall in Georgetown,
Texas, within the sixty minute
time limit set out above and the
presentation of the ticket shall
be mandatory to a dismissal of
said offence.
Section 4. The sixty -minute'
,time limit set out therein shall
be measured from the time mark -
!ed on said ticket and the time on
the City office clock in City Hall.
Section b. The resolution shall
pertain to the overtime parking
pffence under the parking meter
,laws of City of Georgetown only
and shall not be construed to per-
tain to any other offence defined
under the Ordinances of City of
Georgetown. Texas. .
Section 6. This resolution may
be repealed by proper resolution
;by City of Georgetown after
reasonable notice thereof.
Passed and approved this the
