Atkin presiding, the follo-,,ing, members and officials were present; .Aldermen: u. H. Compton, '^. tr. ''redericson, -'red 8. Smith, A. C. Woodfin, Yennly '"ilcox, Jr. nfficials: Lee C. Rltck city manager; 'N. H. Yunn, city attorney; C. S. Senders, Tax d6sessorteotlector, A. P. Pickle, chief of Police; V. L. Cates, secretary. The Ifinutes of ln.st meeting of the Council were read, and on motion of Ald. Compton, seconded by Ald. Woodfin , were approved. Ysn�,,ger 31^ck read the usual monthly reports of the utilities and other officirls, including the bills to be paid amounting to $545.75. On motion of Ald Smith, seconded bit 13y Ald, i'rederieson the reports were received end filed and recounts ordered paid. The City Manager stated the total expense to the City of the recent dr.mnge suit, in which the Court ruled in favor of the city, amounted to X1902.13.. On motion of Ald. ''Vilcox, seconded by Ald. Woodfin, approved the pryment of sr -me. -Wilcox h Wofford # 1,648.25 W. H. Nunn $125.00, Turner Engineers $ 128.88. Cn motion of Ald. Smith, seconded by Ald. Compton the Council voted in favor of a petition being presented to the citizens of North Georgetown stating whether they wrnt to or do not grant to be annexed into the city limits. This petition is in lieu of one recently presented in which it appenred the signers, mF.ny of misunderstood the petition.
