Atkin presiding, the following members of the Council were present; Aldermen: J. H. Compton, E. K. Frederiesons Fred C. Smith, A. C.' Woodfin; Lee C. Black ms.nager; I.Y. H. Nunn, City Attorney; J. Frank Clark, health officer; A. P. Pickles thief of polite; IT. L. Cates, Secretary. The minutes of the last meeting were reads end on motion of Ald. Woodfin, seconded by A1d. Compton were approved as corrected. City Va,nager Black read his monthly report end' the -reports ef'other officers, including; bilis in the emount of'.'$490.169 for approval.' on motion of Ald. E. K. Fredcrisson, seconded by Ald. Compton, the reports were received and filed and the bills ordered paid. The additing committee composed of Vessrs. Cla.udo Eads.and Joe Davis, reported their audit of the city's books for the year 1952 and som,. plemented the financial condition of the city and the manner the records were kept. On Votion of Ald. Woodfin, seconded by Ald. Fred erieson the report was received Pnd filed and the committee discharged. The State Health Department presented its contract with the 'city to maintain the Coutty Health Unit without an increase in payments from the budget of the pre*ious;-yerr, Pnd on motion of Ald. E. K. Frederieson, seconded by Ald.Compters, said contract wet approved unimously, thus authorizing the proper official signatures. The Southwestern States Telephone Compeyy were represented, and were presented and additional interim report from the Council Utility Committee. This report wee received by the representives of the Compe-py for further consideration. Alderman E. K. Fredexieson presented the following 'Ordinances and moved that the same be read in full: The motion was seconded by Ald. Fred C. Smith , and was carried unanimously: The Caption reads : AN ORDINANCE of the City of Georgetown, Texas, declaring that under' the conditions stated herein, the keeping of chickens or rabbits,''or e1ttler of them, shall sonstitue a nuisances and the establishing or maintain- ing of such nuisance shall be punished by a fine of not less thai One Dollars nor more than Zen Dollars; and deelnring an emergeney;'# Ord, on page 97-a herein, and in OrdiManee book. Then the above ordinance w^.s read in full a motion was made by Ald'. A. C. Toodfin, and seconded by Ald R. K. Frederieson,'that because' of the aforesaid ordinanee containing an emergency clauses 'that the usual rules of reading ordinances at three successive meetings of the Council be suspended, and that'it be read by caption now and hereafter and passed its second reading. the nrdinaser-wae-read by caption and passed by the following vote: Ayes: Compton, Fredericson, Smiths Toodfin. Noes--r:one. Ordinta.nee read by Caption. On notion of Ald. Compton, seconded by Ald. Frederieson, the Ordinance we.s passed to its third readings the following being the vote: Ayes -- Compton, Frederieson, Smiths'Voodfin. ,Toes --none Ordinance read by Caption. I On motion; of Ald. Fred C. Smith, seconded by Ald A. C.'Woodfibs the abover Ordinance was finally passed passed, the following was the vote; Ayes --Compton, Frederiesons Smith, 70odfin. Noes --none. The 1=ayor declared the said Ordinanee duly passed.
