January 12, 1953.
The City Council met in regularsession on the above date, Mayor J. T.
,Atkin presiding and.the following were present: Zee C. Black, City
Manager. Aldermen: *F. K. F'rederieson, J. H. Compton, Kennie Tilcox, Jr.,
and A. Co Woodfin, Officialst To H Nuns}, ttorney for the city,;
C. S. Sanders, ease ssor-collector; h�. -04,ro)rcity health officer;
A. F. pickle. marshal; and M. L. Cates, Clerk.
Minutes of the previous session was read and on motion of Aid. Fredericson
seconded by Aid. Wilcox were approved.
Manager Lee C. Black read his monthly report,cdfttaiklggthe reports of
the treasurer and marshal and the accounts to be apFroved and paid.
Also Ta.x Asessor read his report."On motion of Aid. Wilcox, seconded by
Aid. Compton all reports were received and filed and the accounts in
the sum of $311.76 were ordered paid.
Aldo Compton made a motion that bleachers be build at the San Gabriel
baseball park at and estimate., cost of $324.00, to be finished if
possible by the next baseball season. Aid Fredericson seconded the
motion, which was duly pealed.

An Ordinance amending the Franchise Ordinance of the'Lone Stpr Gre Co.
making the gross receipts payments due the city payable on Yarch the
let, each year, hereafter, instead of Jnnuary first of each year, was
presented the Council by Ordinance Committeeman Fredericson, who
moved that it be read. The motion was seconded by ,Ald. ;olilcox, and was
passed.
The Said ordinance was read in full.
A motion was tAade By Aldo A. C. Noodfin, that the foregoing ordinance
be passed to its second reading, end that because it contains an
emergency clause, the usual rules for passing ordinances be hereby
suspended and that the sane be hereafter reed by Caption. Aid,
J. TI. Compton seconded the motion, r-,hich passed by the following votes'
Ayes --Compton, fredericson, 'Vilcox, Toodfin. Noes --none.
Ordinance read by Caption.
Aid. H. K. Fredericson moved that the said ordinance be passed to the
third reading. Aldo J. H. Compton seconded the motion, which was
passed by the following; votes Ayes --Compton, frederison, Wilcox,
'Voodfin. Noes --none.

Aid. E. K. Fredericson moved that the said ordinancet * be passed
finally. Aid. Compton seconded the motion, which motion w,,:+s
passed, the vote was as follows: Ayes --Compton, Fredericson, Wilcox.
Woodfin. Noes --none.
Mayor Atkin declared the said foregoing Ordinance duly and
constitutionally passed.
There appearing no further business, the Council adjourned,
